Employer

Last updated: 2021-06-21

An employer is a legal or physical person who offers work and employs a person. The employer can be a company, but it can also be, for example, an organization, authority or non-profit association.

The employer has drawn up an employment agreement with the employee, which states, among other things, what the remuneration is for the work performance. Compensation can consist of salary, benefits or bonuses.

In order to pay wages to owners or employees, the company must be registered as an employer. Being registered as an employer entails an obligation to submit information and pay tax for the business and its employees.
